I. About
Department of Marketing at Sri Balaji University, Pune is the vanguard of the pioneering thinking affecting today’s market, marketing function and buying behaviour. The Department is dedicated to creating a unique centre to acquire, create and disseminate the marketing domain knowledge to the student managers. The Department delivers contemporary excellent research and teaching. It comprises of specialists from industry and academia having a vast exposure in all the domain areas of marketing. Our Faculty Members conduct a lot of research activities and are contributing to the wider field of Marketing and beyond through publications in top-ranked journals that in turn feed into the department’s teaching activities.
For all-round development of student managers, the department organises various conferences, seminars, symposiums, guest lectures, field visits and live projects every year. It provides holistic development to the student managers in the various functional areas of marketing. We offer courses at Undergraduate, Post Graduate and PhD levels. It offers Basic Marketing Management, Sales Management, Consumer Behaviour, Marketing Research, B2B Marketing, Brand Management, Integrated Marketing Communication, Marketing Logistics & Supply Chain Management, Marketing of Financial Services (BFSI), Retail Management, Services Marketing, Strategic Marketing and Rural Marketing. Apart from the general marketing and specialisation disciplines, the department has commenced offering courses like Digital Marketing & Social Media and Marketing Analytics as per the changing demand of industry.
Marketing is the distinguishing, unique function of the business. Marketing offers a plethora of opportunities. Marketing careers attract creative and driven individuals. Though most marketing jobs are specialized, marketing typically draws on individual’s ability to match the perception of the market with achievable plans of action. Individuals can take lots of diversified roles like Sales Manager, Marketing Manager, Business Development Manager, Brand Manager, Account Manager, Research Manager, SEO Manager and Marketing Analytics Manager. Marketing is one area where entrepreneurs can actually define a unique identity for themselves. As an entrepreneur, your business endeavour must create and deliver value to the customer. While the acquisition of the customers is critical for the business, one must also use marketing to retain those customers, by satisfying and building long-term relationships with those customers. Our Alumni are spread across the globe and playing a key role in various industries. These Alumni play the role of mentor to a lot of student managers and help them in shaping their career in the field of marketing.
