A Scholarship of 50% in fees will be offered to the serving or retired Personnel from Indian Army/ Navy/ Air force. However, they will have to pay the other fees namely Application fee, SBUP-PET fee, Course Work fee and Course Work Exam fee.

  • Appear for SBUP-PET Entrance Test.
  • An Entrance Test shall be qualifying with qualifying marks of 50%.
  • Exemption from entrance examination:

    Candidates who have cleared NET/SET/SLET/GATE/JRF/M.Phil. shall be exempted from the entrance examination during the period of the validity of the concerned test. However, they will have to appear for a personal interview.
  • Candidates for admission to the Ph.D. programme shall have a Master's degree or a professional degree declared equivalent to the Master's degree by the corresponding statutory regulatory body, with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade 'B' in the UGC 7-point scale.

  • A relaxation of 5% of marks, from 50% to 55%, or an equivalent relaxation of grade, may be allowed for those applicants belonging to SC/ST/OBC/Differently-Abled and other categories of candidates as per the policy of Government of Maharashtra, and for those who had obtained their Master's degree prior to 19th September, 1991.

  • The eligibility marks of 55% and the relaxation of 5% to the categories mentioned above are permissible only on the qualifying marks without including the grace mark procedures.

  • The candidates working in organizations and applying as part-time external candidates will have to submit a consent letter from the respective organization.

  • The candidates who are members of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI), and The institute Of cost Accountants Of India (Erstwhile Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India (ICWAI) will be considered as equivalent to Post Graduate.

What is SBUP-PET?

Sri Balaji University Pune Ph.D. Entrance Test (SBUP-PET) is an entrance exam conducted by Sri Balaji University, Pune (SBUP).

This exam will be conducted on 8th October.

The entrance exam is NOT optional in nature unless candidates have cleared NET/SET/SLET/GATE/JRF/M.Phil. shall be exempted from the entrance examination during the period of the validity of the concerned test. However, they will have to appear for a personal interview.

An Entrance Test shall be qualifying with qualifying marks of 50%. The syllabus of the Entrance Test shall consist of 50% of research methodology and 50% shall be subject-specific. The Entrance Test shall be conducted at the Centre(s) notified in advance (changes of Centres, if any, also will be notified well in advance) at the level of the University.
