The common application form for all four management institutes of Sri Balaji University, Pune, and the twelve courses can be submitted online with an application fee of INR 1000. If you are appearing for SBEST Exam the fee will be INR 490 (service provider taxes applicable for all payments). The successful payment of the application fee is followed by issuing of a registration number.
SELECTION PROCEDURE
Written Examination
We accept management examination test scores such as CAT/MAT/XAT/CMAT/MAH-CET test scores. However, as management examination test scores are issued to the students, any student who has appeared for the management examination test examinations can apply for our courses. Thus, all the four Management institutes will accept management examination test scores. However, the management examination test and scores will be equalized and validated to the CAT score value and that will only be counted for the purpose of the merit list. It is not necessary that these scores should be attached to the Application form at this stage. These scores sheets can be dispatched so as to reach us latest by 28th March 2025. Anyone having any objection to the same, need not apply. We do not believe in any cut-off points as we give only 35% of the weightage for the entrance examination while making the merit list.
In case the applicant do not have an Entrance Examination Score / Not appeared for Entrance examination or would like to improve their scores mentioned above can opt for Sri Balaji Entrance and Screening Test (SBEST)
Group Discussions
Candidates who fulfill the qualitative requirements will be called for the Group Discussions by experts. This will be for a duration of 30-45 minutes per group. This may include role play, case studies, and extempore speech and GD. 35% of the weightage in the merit list will be given to the GD process. Therefore the GD process may extend to the second day although all efforts will be made to complete the process in one day. This is an elimination round.
Personal Interviews
This expert panel interview and the essay marks will carry 30% of the weightage. This panel will assess the candidates on various parameters including the suitability of the candidate for a particular specialization. The panel will also give the opportunity to the applicants to add or delete course options.
L.L.M
- Eligible student can apply online. After scrutiny of the applications, eligible candidates will be informed the schedule of Brief Interactive Session & Personal Interview (PI).
- Student must clear any one entrance test CLAT, MAH-CET OR SBEST LL.M. (Sri Balaji Entrance and Screening Test).

- Weightage - Marks obtained in graduation and qualifying exam will carry 50% weightage and Personal Interview will carry 50% weightage for preparation of final merit list for admission.

Ph.D. (Part-Time)
- Sri Balaji University, Pune shall admit Ph.D. students through an Entrance Test (SBUP - PET) conducted at the level of the University. The students who qualify for UGC-NET (including JRF) / UGC-CSIR NET (including JRF) / SET / GATE / teacher fellowship holder or have passed the M.Phil. program are exempted from the SBUP-PET, however, they have to appear in an interview/ viva-voce.
- An Entrance Test shall be qualifying with qualifying marks of 50%.
- The syllabus of the Entrance Test shall consist of 50% of research methodology and 50% shall be subject-specific.
- Students who clear the entrance test will be called for an interview/vivavoce.
- An interview/viva-voce to be organized by the constituent Institutes / Departments of SBUP
Ph.D. (Full Time)
- Sri Balaji University, Pune shall admit Ph.D. students through an Entrance Test (SBUP - PET) conducted at the level of the University. The students who qualify for UGC-NET (including JRF) / UGC-CSIR NET (including JRF) / SET / GATE / teacher fellowship holder or have passed the M.Phil. program are exempted from the SBUP-PET, however, they have to appear in an interview/ viva-voce.
- An Entrance Test shall be qualifying with qualifying marks of 50%.
