National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), Bangalore proposes that every accredited institution should establish an Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC). The IQAC is meant for planning, guiding and monitoring quality assurance and quality enhancement activities of institute. Maintaining the momentum of quality consciousness, IQAC works as a mechanism to build and ensure a quality culture at the institutional level with appropriate structure and processes and with enough flexibility to meet the diverse needs of the stakeholders. The IQAC should become a driving force for ushering in quality by working out intervention strategies to remove deficiencies and enhance quality.  The prime task of the IQAC is to develop a system for conscious, consistent and catalytic improvement in the overall performance of institutions. For this, during the post-accreditation period, it will channelize all efforts and measures of the institution towards promoting its holistic academic excellence. 

Composition of IQAC

IQAC is constituted in Sri Balaji University, Pune under the Chairmanship of the Vice Chancellor with heads of important academic and administrative units and a few senior facculties and a few distinguished educationists and representatives of local management and stakeholders.

AISHE

All India Survey on Higher Education

To portray the status of higher education in the country, Ministry of Education has endeavoured to conduct an annual web-based All India Survey on Higher Education (AISHE) since 2010-11. The survey covers all the Institutions in the country engaged in imparting of higher education. Data is being collected on several parameters such as teachers, student enrolment, programmes, examination results, education finance, infrastructure. Indicators of educational development such as Institution Density, Gross Enrolment Ratio, Pupil-teacher ratio, Gender Parity Index, Per Student Expenditure will also be calculated from the data collected through AISHE. These are useful in making informed policy decisions and research for development of education sector.
