At SBUP, we strive to create an environment that promotes holistic development of every student. This process as an integral part of this work, our institutes, BIMM, BITM, BIIB and BIMHRD, also form a Student Council, each year. These councils act as the channel between students and staff to deliver and manage communication. The Student Council plays a significant role in conducting a wide variety of co-curricular activities, such as cultural programmes, parties, excursion and etc. These events are all targeted on the goal of motivating student teamwork, innovation, and carrying learning beyond the sterile framework of the typical academic job.

We believe our student managers should be professionally developed as fully educated citizens with the skills and acumen to become the persons and professionals they are destined to become. For that reason, the Student Council is championing the development of a vibrant campus culture. These tasks not only enhance the overall student experience, but also cultivate teamwork, leadership and ownership. These experiences are open to all learners and offer high engagement, deep involvement, and important opportunities for transformative engagement.

Apart from the event planning, the Student Council is mainly responsible for enforcing campus discipline and contributing to the carrying out of various campus welfare activities such as raising the voice of the student community so that their problems are addressed.

Council members are selected from among the most dedicated of the students within their own institutes. Their choice is made, based on, their performance on the assessment centre, their involvement in curricular and co-curricular activities, and their yearlong commitment to the growth of the institution.

The council works closely with the Director/Dean of SBUP and keeps the alignment between the council's goals and the vision/values of the institute. Our Student Council represents the best of our community—driven, creative, and committed to making a positive impact. Working collaboratively, they inspire others and ultimately are critical in building a vibrant, stimulating, and positive campus community.
